Scientific expertise
Our analysts have expertise and experience across a range of scientific disciplines, including ecology, animal behaviour, genetics, physiology, acoustics and environmental science. We have designed and delivered experimental projects spanning multiple years, working across the full research process from experimental design and data collection through to processing, statistical analysis, reporting and publication.
C-POD & F-POD expertise
Our principal analyst has worked on, and continues to contribute to, the development of the FPOD software used to read, process and display C-POD and F-POD data. This experience has supported cetacean projects investigating how acoustic deterrent devices affect bycatch, how offshore infrastructure influences behaviour, and long-term trends in detections across large areas.
Project experience
Our experience spans academic, commercial and public-sector projects across multiple continents, covering ecological research, environmental monitoring and applied science. We have designed and delivered projects ranging from short-term field studies to experimental programmes spanning several years, working with diverse teams and stakeholders. This gives us an understanding of the practical challenges that can arise at every stage of a project, not just the analysis at the end.
Data & software
We combine scientific knowledge with practical programming experience in Python, R, Pascal and HTML, allowing us to work across the full data workflow. We develop bespoke processing pipelines, automate repetitive tasks, build analytical and visualisation tools, and create dedicated applications where existing software does not meet the needs of a project. Our focus is on producing tools that are reliable, practical and easy to use.
